Welcome to the website of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Cape Town.

This Consulate, covering three Cape provinces, is base in Cape Town, a city on the south western tip of the African continent and home to South Africa's Parliament.

It is our hope that this website can serve as a gateway to know China and a good source for consular services. We would like to work together with the South African people to promote cooperation in areas of economy and trade, culture, education, etc. between China and the three Cape provinces, and to further enhance the development of a healthy, sustainable and comprehensive relationship between our two countries.

Another priority of our mission is to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens and legal entities in our consular district in accordance with "people oriented" policy. We would also like to help promote the local Chinese community to live in harmony with the local people and other communities.
