Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Cape Town, Mr. Liang Shugen visited Northern Cape from September 10th -13th. He called on Ms. Sylvia Lucas, Premier of the Province, Provincial Parliament Speaker Mr. M K Mnoiemang, Minister of Finance Economic Affairs and Tourism Mr. J. Block, Kimberley Mayor Ms. Agnes Ntlhangula. Mr. Liang exchanged views with them on issues of mutual economic cooperation and people to people exchange . Mr. Liang assured his hosts that his office will do its best to further enhance the friendly relationship between China and the Province of Northern Cape.

 

 

 

Mr. Liang also payed a visit to the local Chinese Community in Kimberley. He thanked them for their efforts to promote the friendship between China and South Africa. He also encouraged the overseas Chinese to obey by the South Africa laws, respect the local habits and customs, live harmoniously with local people and contribute to the local economic development.
