The Cape Town Visa Office of the Johannesburg Chinese Visa Application Service Center will open on August 9, 2017. From the day on, all ordinary passport holders, within the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Northern Cape Provinces, wishing to visit China are requested to apply for visas at the Cape Town Visa Office.

It will takes 6 working days for the Cape Town Visa Office to issue a visa on condition that all documents required are complete. In case of emergency, please go directly to Johannesburg Chinese Visa Application Center to lodge application.

After the opening of the Cape Town Visa Office, holders of diplomatic or service (official) passports, or applicants qualified for the Chinese diplomatic, courtesy, service visas still need to submit their applications directly to the Chinese Consulate General in Cape Town.
