|Notice on the Opening of the Cape Town Visa Office of the Johannesburg Chinese Visa Application Service Center|
The Cape Town Visa Office of the Johannesburg Chinese Visa Application Service Center will open on August 9, 2017. From the day on, all ordinary passport holders, within the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Northern Cape Provinces, wishing to visit the People’s Republic of China are requested to apply for visas at the Cape Town Visa Office.

Office hours: 9:00am-12:30pm, Monday to Friday (public holidays excluded)
Service charges: Besides collecting visa fees and express fees on behalf of the Consulate General, Cape Town Visa Office also charges service fees. For more information, please visit the website: www.visaforchina.org
It will takes 6 working days for the Cape Town Visa Office to issue a visa on condition that all documents required are complete. In case of emergency, please go directly to Johannesburg Chinese Visa Application Center to lodge application.
After the opening of the Cape Town Visa Office, holders of diplomatic or service (official) passports, or applicants qualified for the Chinese diplomatic, courtesy, service visas, or applicants applying for Hong Kong/Macao Special Administrative Region visas /entry permits still need to submit their applications directly to the Chinese Consulate General in Cape Town.
